LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring good news of great joy that will be for all the people.’ ”   Luke 2:10

To look on the bright side means to see the positive in every situation.

Try to put yourself in the place of a shepherd on that dark night for a moment. Suddenly, an angel began to hover in the sky surrounded by the blinding glory of the Lord and if that wasn’t terrifying enough, the angel began to speak. I think I would have been afraid too, but the first thing the angel does is to give reassurance that no harm will come to them but only good news.

Just as the glow from the angel lit up the sky that night so long ago, Jesus illuminates from us when we invite Him into our heart.
